The famous South African gospel choir directed by Jimmy Mulovhedzi, the Soweto Gospel Choir, will tour France and Europe from 14th September to 24th October 2018. The first concert will take place on Friday 14th September at the Eglise des Blancs Manteaux in the 4th arrondissement in Paris. The next performance will take place in Suresnes on Sunday the 16th September at 17:00. Many other concerts and master classes are scheduled in various cities of France (Marseille, Avignon, Toulouse…)

The Soweto Gospel Choir blends elements of African gospel, song, reggae and popular American music. The group had the honour of performing at the first of the 46664 concerts for Nelson Mandela and have on several occasions toured internationally.  The albums Blessed and African Spirit won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional World Music Album in 2007 and 2008 respectively. The group performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup final draw on 4 December 2009 in Cape Town.
